'Serpentine' is a small grammar generating the pattern of the Serpentine Pavilion in London (by Toyo Ito and Cecil Balmond). This example combines non-parametric and parametric-associatve rules, as part of the generative process is best captured under a similarity transformation (the iterative rotation and scaling of the square) while extending the sides of each transformed square until the boundary of the original square can only be achieved using a parametric-associative rule.
